"Preparations for Euro-2012 will unite Ukraine, unit the people, unite everyone who sees this as an opportunity for Ukraine to show that it can achieve results when it sets a goal and works towards this goal as a consolidated team," Yulia Tymoshenko said.

She reminded that the government allocated nearly 250 million hryvnias for the construction of the Metalist Stadium – the second stadium built in Ukraine for Euro-2012.

Yulia Tymoshenko assured that the Cabinet will continue to take all necessary steps to make sure that all cities are ready for Euro-2012. "We are ahead of schedule in all the cities, include in terms of financing," Yulia Tymoshenko underscored.

Construction of the Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv began in 2007 at a total estimated cost of $50 million. The stadium can seat 41,000 spectators and has 2,250 parking spaces. The stadium also has a roof that covers all stadium seats and special aerial camera.
