"I think we will have a contract in the next few months, because by January 15 they will send the whole team that will be working on it, that will analyze the technical and financial situation, and I think that by the start of spring we will sign a large contract," Yulia Tymoshenko said.

During his visit to the design bureau, Brazil’s Minister of Defense positively assessed the technical characteristics of the Ukrainian Oplot tank.

On December 2, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva stated that their countries are both interested in intensifying cooperation in the defense sector. "For Ukraine such cooperation is very desirable. We can be very effective partners," Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized during his visit to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva noted that: "Brazil has a strategic plan to reconstruct its Armed Forces by 2020. We still have enough time, we can work to build cooperation brick by brick," he said.
