Yulia Tymoshenko: arrests won’t weaken the opposition
"Their plan is to constantly say that the opposition is incapable of anything, that it’s weak. I can’t remember a time in my life when I was weak. As long as I have the strength, I will defend and protect what I can," Yulia Tymoshenko said while appearing tonight as a guest on a program on the Ukraina Channel.
The leader of Batkivshchyna believes that those in power are afraid of the opposition and are therefore resorting to political repression. "If we were weak, they wouldn’t be throwing us in jail, they wouldn’t be raiding and seizing our offices. Today they passed a special law preventing BYuT from participating in the local elections, but we will run as the Batkivshchyna Party because they legally banned our bloc."
