Yulia Tymoshenko: our goal is to build an opposition movement throughout Ukraine

 
pr_b4571.jpgBYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko plans to appeal to representatives of opposition forces in village, town and city councils urging them to join the opposition against Viktor Yanukovych’s ruling government.

"I will urge all city councils of all levels where the majority belong to opposition forces to hold a session and announce their move to opposition to Yanukovych," Yulia Tymoshenko said today following the signing of an agreement on the formation of a unified opposition in parliament.

Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized that their main goal is to create a united opposition not only in parliament, but throughout Ukraine.

Today representatives of eight opposition groups signed an agreement on creating a united parliamentary opposition and coordinating council.

The statement was signed by: Yulia Tymoshenko on behalf of Batkivshchyna; Serhiy Sobolev – Reforms and Order Party; Borys Tarasyuk - People's Movement of Ukraine (Rukh); Yuriy Lutsenko - People's Self-Defense; Volodymyr Stretovych - Christian Democratic Union; Mykola Katerynchuk - European Party of Ukraine; Olena Shustik - Ukrainian Social Democratic Party; and Yuriy Karmazin - Motherland Defenders Party.
