Yulia Tymoshenko: we will protect Ukraine from the new misfortune named Yanukovych (video)

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said that if parliament votes to dismiss her government, she will go into opposition and lead the process of forming a united democratic team.

"If the vote to dismiss the government passes, at that moment our government and political force will go into opposition and will clearly form a united democratic team," Yulia Tymoshenko said today in parliament.

She is convinced that in opposition her political team will have the greatest leverage against the new leadership’s anti-Ukrainian moves.

"We will reliably defend Ukraine from the new misfortune that has arrived. And if Yanukovych thinks that he’ll be peacefully playing golf and tennis in a week while his entourage snaps up strategic state property, then I can say that today his golf and tennis games are over, and he will have to report every day before the country and the opposition. We’ll keep our fingers on the pulse every day," Yulia Tymoshenko assured.

The Prime Minister’s words were met with loud and lengthy applause.
