New appointments show how ‘similar’ Tymoshenko and Yanukovych are

_dsc4131.jpgThe new government has once again shown the absurdity of former President Viktor Yushchenko’s statements during the second round of the presidential election campaign that Yulia Tymoshenko and Viktor Yanukovych are the same, People’s Deputy Oleh Liashko (BYuT) has said.

"During the election campaign, Yushchenko talked about how Tymoshenko and Yanukovych were the same. I would like to stress to the voters, especially those who voted for Yushchenko, that Tymoshenko’s minister of education was Vakarchuk, but Yanukovych, who is allegedly the same as Tymoshenko, made Ukrainophobe Tabachnyk his minister of education. This is the answer to the question of how similar Tymoshenko and Yanukovych are," Oleh Liashko said today in the Verkhovna Rada.

The parliamentarian accused Viktor Yushchenko of being responsible for Dmytro Tabachynyk becoming the minister of science and education. "By working to destroy Tymoshenko, Yushchenko essentially made Tabachnyk, who’s a Ukrainophobe, the minister of education. This is Yushchenko’s handiwork and he is to blame for this person who will instill in our children a hatred to everything Ukrainian. What will he teach our children? What kind of citizens will they become?"

Oleh Liashko is also outraged by the latest moves by OU-PSD, which immediately after an unconstitutional parliamentary coalition and illegitimate government were formed, registered a draft resolution to dismiss Dmytro Tabachnyk as minister of science and education.

"Viktor Yushchenko did everything in the beginning for Viktor Yanukovych to win the election, then did everything for Azarov to become prime minister and for Ukrainophobe Tabachnyk to become education minister. And now when there aren’t enough votes in parliament to dismiss Tabachnyk, Our Ukraine registers the draft resolution and is waving it before the voters and saying: see, we’re against the Ukrainophobe," he emphasized.

"Had the democratic forces consolidated and not let Yanukovych and Azarov come to power, then Tabachnyk wouldn’t be education minister," Oleh Liashko concluded.
