CIS Council of a high calibre (photo story)

 
pr_a0354.jpgThe meeting of the Council of CIS heads of government is underway in Yalta. Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko gave the opening remarks and welcomed all the guests to Crimea. "We did everything to make sure you felt comfortable in Ukraine and had the opportunity to work effectively for the sake of your people," she said.

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, the agenda for today's meeting focuses more intensively on economic issues than previous meetings. "We estimate that least 11 out of 30 issues are of an economic nature, and this means that they make the work of the CIS more effective, relevant, and provide solutions to today's most pressing issues," she underscored.

The Ukrainian Premier announced that during her meeting before they summit they discussed all aspects of battling the financial crisis.

"In my opinion, all the countries shared effectively shared their experience of overcoming this crisis, every country has results of successful projects to battle the crisis, and I think we all gained something from these conversations and will be able to put it into practice once we return to our countries," Yulia Tymoshenko said.

"I would like to wish all the delegations successful work. I think that for many of you Crimea and Ukraine is a part of your life. That's why I would like you to feel at home here," Yulia Tymoshenko concluded.
