Yulia Tymoshenko: Yanukovych-Medvedev agreement will be terminated

pr_b2358.jpgYulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the united democratic opposition, believes that after a change of leadership, the agreement signed between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia extending the lease for the Black Sea Fleet will be terminated.

"My position is clear and unambiguous. As soon as there is a power change, and I believe this will happen in a Constitutional way, all the agreements that harm Ukraine’s national interests will be terminated. And this will be done to the benefit of Ukraine’s strategic development," Yulia Tymoshenko said today while appearing on an evening program on the Ukraina Channel.

The opposition leader believes that the duration of the Black Sea Fleet’s stay on Ukrainian territory should be decided after the term expires in 2017. "Ukrainian land does not have a price. Most experts believe that we should wait until 2017 and resolve this in a calm and friendly manner," Yulia Tymoshenko said.
