Yulia Tymoshenko: nobody struck a greater blow to Ukraine than Yushchenko

Viktor Yushchenko as president did everything to destroy the victory achieved during protests against the Kuchma regime, Yulia Tymoshenko claims.

"Even Kuchma didn’t have as great an impact on Ukraine as did Yushchenko. He destroyed everything, starting from the times of the Ukraine Without Kuchma movement. The forum for national salvation – society did all this to prepare for a successful presidential election against Kuchma's regime," Yulia Tymoshenko said today during a press conference.

"Until it became clear that he won’t be prime minister in Yanukovych’s government, he sat and waited quietly until they give him a dacha and offered him the prime minister’s post. But now that it’s obvious that he won’t be prime minister, and maybe he’s already got the dacha, now he voices his opposition. I hope society sees these double standards and doesn’t allow anti-Ukrainian activities to be covered up by pro-Ukrainian slogans," she said.

The leader of the opposition believe that in this situation Viktor Yushchenko can not remain in politics. "He has no right to remain in politics. He has no right to voice his opinions because the way he crossed out Ukraine’s right to become a democratic European state and implement real reforms, no politician has done so much against Ukraine," Yulia Tymoshenko said.

"Yushchenko should leave politics, and the sooner the better," she believes.
