Yulia Tymoshenko: the absurdity of the investigation is obvious
"The only additional charge they presented me with today was causing 960,000 hryvnias in damages to the state. This was the commission payment for converting Kyoto funds," Yulia Tymoshenko told reporters today after being questioned at the Prosecutor General’s Office.
"I was interrogated again today. The analysis commissioned by the Prosecutor General’s Office apparently ‘proves’ that using money to pay pensions is a crime, and that the commission paid to the National Bank for the conversion of funds constitutes ‘damages to the state,’" Yulia Tymoshenko said.
"I think it’s obvious how absurd this is. And I think that sooner or later a genuine court, genuine prosecutors and genuine investigators will provide a fair assessment of my activities while in office," she added.
