Yulia Tymoshenko: Yanukovych wants to return Kuchma’s constitution

 
pr_a9058.jpgViktor Yanukovych and his team want to prolong his term in office and return to a presidential form of government in the nearest future, says Yulia Tymoshenko.

"They’re proposing moving the 2012 parliamentary elections to 2015," Yulia Tymoshenko said today during a rally honoring Ukrainian Independence Day, held by the Taras Shevchenko monument tin Kyiv.

The leader of the Batkivshchyna Party noted that “Yanukovych has set the goal of amending the Constitution and prolonging the president’s term in office from 5 years to 7.

Yulia Tymoshenko also reported Yanukovych’s plans to return to a presidential form of government.

"They plan in the near future, in September, to return to Kuchma’s Constitution. This is a great evil that will bring Ukrainemany more unexpected ‘surprises’," said Yulia Tymoshenko.
