Batkivshchyna Party Leader Yulia Tymoshenko says education should become a priority of the new government and the policy of shutting down schools is unacceptable.
“We will not allow a reduction in the number of schools,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during a visit to the secondary school in Bilkivtsi village Zhytomyr region.
The politician noted that in the past 5 years 1500 schools have been closed all over Ukraine and 22,000 teachers have been fired. She believes that proper economic policy is needed to ensure that “our villages have prospects for development” and enough schools.
“That is why every vote for Batkivshchyna is important, because the party’s ability to shape the policy of a new government will depend on the support of voters,” Yulia Tymoshenko said.
