Batkivshchyna Party Leader Yulia Tymoshenko says the coalition of parliamentary factions in the new Verkhovna Rada should be formed with the participation of both new and experienced politicians who are patriotic and devoted to the country and society.
“I believe that in parliament we need a coalition of new politicians and politicians with experience, professionalism and knowledge, in order to prevent fatal mistakes,” Yulia Tymoshenko said on the program “Big Interview” on channel 112. Ukraina.
According to the politician, there are some differences in positions between the Batkivshchyna team and the Servant of the People and Voice parties, in particular on medical and land reform. In her opinion, these discrepancies are the result of the “inexperience of new politicians.” Yulia Tymoshenko once again stressed that “the current medical reform must be abolished and a health insurance system introduced.” Batkivshchyna also opposes the opening of the land market in the current conditions.
“We are against the thoughtless and unprofessional sale of agricultural land at auction that will leave us without a powerful resource for our revival,” she said, adding that the parties do agree on certain issues, in particular the reform of the pension system.
Yulia Tymoshenko said that after the formation of a new government in Ukraine, a number of important steps will have to be taken: reforming of the country’s governance system, protecting the Ukrainian GTS, giving the opposition effective powers, overcoming economic ruin and raising people’s standard of living.
“If we are in the coalition and part of the government we will advise the new President to completely rebuild the system of governance. That means eliminating the old system and building an architectural structure that will give us a successful country,” she said.
