Batkivshchyna Party Leader Yulia Tymoshenko believes moving away from a raw material economy to one based on innovation will open a wide range of opportunities for Ukraine’s economic recovery, which in turn will improve the living standards of Ukrainians.
“A raw material economy will never provide such explosive opportunities to increase GDP and economic recovery as an innovative development model. Either we switch to an innovative type of economy or we will never be in the same circle with strong countries,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during a meeting with representatives of small and medium businesses.
The head of the Batkivshchyna Party stressed that her New Course for Ukraine will significantly improve living standards precisely because it is based on the innovative model of economic development.
The parliamentarian noted that the New Course for Ukraine provides for a new monetary policy, proper deregulation and a balance between the market and government regulation.
“If the country is properly managed and the right decisions are taken, then Ukraine will need three years to get a result and see serious shifts,” she explained, adding that the main task for the new government will be to create normal conditions for doing business in order to provide the creative class with an opportunity to bring the country success.
“We must do everything possible to unite the creative class around a proper course to solve problems,” said the Leader of the Batkivshchyna Party.
