Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko believes current president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, should be held personally responsible for the explosions at military ammunition depots.
“Responsibility for each such explosion must be placed on those who were personally obliged to prevent them. And first and foremost this is the commander-in-chief of Ukraine, who, unfortunately, is hiding that fact that he has lost control over the country and the army behind slogans and other populist speeches today,” Yulia Tymoshenko said while visiting the XI International Aviation and Space Salon “Aviasvit-XXI.”
In the opinion of the politician, the incompetence of the highest military leadership of Ukraine has led to the fact that weapons that were supposed to protect the state from the enemy have turned against Ukrainian families, endangering their lives.
“I do not believe that this was an accident. I do not believe that this could not have been prevented. This has to do with the quality and professionalism of both the commander-in-chief and everyone who is personally responsible for these explosions at warehouses, for the destruction of ammunition, for the grief of the people who now have to leave their homes. And, in fact, their families are in danger today,” said the politician.
Yulia Tymoshenko said that while ordinary people pay taxes in order to increase the defense capability of the country and protect it from war, the authorities “by their incompetent and criminal actions are destroying the state’s defense capability.”
“Order must be restored immediately. And the sooner we can proceed with this, the better it will be for the country,” said the Leader of Batkivshchyna.
