Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko says the Verkhovna Rada should convene for an extraordinary session on Tuesday, July 23, in order to consider urgent issues for society.
“We appeal to President Volodymyr Zelensky to ask the Verkhovna Rada to hold an extraordinary session of the parliament on Tuesday, July 23. By law, this is possible,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during a briefing by the Verkhovna Rada after a meeting of the Batkivshchyna faction.
The politician said that Batkivshchyna wants their faction’s bills also to be included in the agenda. The documents relate to the transfer of Ukrainian gas to the needs of the population, the increase of the minimum pension to the subsistence minimum, and the abolition of medical reform.
“Today we will send to Volodymyr Zelensky a letter explaining that an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada can be held on July 23. We will also send him a list of our bills so that we can quickly resolve issues that people are really looking waiting for. We need to act!” she said.
“We asked our deputies to return from all regions of Ukraine so that our full faction would be present at the Verkhovna Rada session,” added the politician.
