Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has appealed to the authorities demanding a solution to the non-payment of wages to miners working in Ukrainian state mines.
“I want to report that miners in Ukrainian state mines have not received salaries in 5 months. I have in my hands a photograph of Viktor Trykhovnov, who set himself on fire, thus defending miners,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during a speech in parliament.
According to the politician, the wage arrears equal 1 billion 250 million hryvnias. At the same time, the parliamentarian stressed that the current government, headed by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, intends to deliberately destroy the state mines.
“Poroshenko decided to destroy the state mines so as to destroy the energy independence of the state and give us into the hands of the aggressor country,” said Yulia Tymoshenko.
