Batkivshchyna Party Leader Yulia Tymoshenko has called on President Volodymyr Zelensky to submit to the Verkhovna Rada documents on the dismissal and appointment of those heads of departments for which he has constitutional powers, and the Verkhovna Rada to urgently consider the submissions.
“On Thursday we should consider and decide on the dismissal and appointment of the foreign minister, the head of the PGU, the minister of defense and the head of the NBU. I appeal to both the new President to submit his candidates, and to the head of the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss the old Poroshenko staff and appoint the new Zelensky staff on Thursday,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during today’s meeting of the conciliation council of faction leaders and chairmen of parliamentary committees.
The politician believes these appointments are necessary in order to “not lose control of the country,” and so that the new President “has the opportunity to take responsibility for the processes that are taking place in Ukraine.”
“Therefore, I ask that this issue be considered and in the second half of Thursday we appoint new leaders from President Zelensky. Otherwise, Poroshenko, the head of the Verkhovna Rada and their government will be responsible for the chaos in the country. I ask you to act immediately,” said the head of the Batkivshchyna faction.
