Presidential candidate and Batkivshchyna Party Leader Yulia Tymoshenko has invited representatives of trade union organizations of Ukraine to unite and jointly develop a step-by-step action plan based on the “New Course for Ukraine” to bring every sphere of life in the country out of stagnation.

“Our national goal is to create conditions and rules of life so that every person in Ukraine, from birth to their last day of life, can fulfill their mission and potential in harmony with humanity, nature, and the Creator. If we do not build such a system, then we will not happen as a country,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during a meeting with the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, where representatives of 42 trade unions gathered who support the Social Doctrine of the New Course for Ukraine.

The politician noted that their meeting is taking place in the Trade Unions Building, a sacred place for Ukrainians because it was here that five years ago Ukrainian society declared its clear intention of a course of radical changes and transformations in the country, but which was not fulfilled by the current authorities. Therefore, now is the time to finally realize society’s demand for qualitative changes in the country.

“The New Course for Ukraine was developed by a team of leading specialists of Ukraine. It is about how to make Ukraine competitive in the world, so that Ukrainians would want to return here and not leave the country in the future,” she said.

The politician added that the New Constitution of Ukraine will dismantle the clan-oligarchic system of governance of the country, and will build “synergy between all branches of government, trade unions, employers and civil society.”

“This will not be optional cooperation. There will be imperative, clear tools and mechanisms that will combine the intellectual and professional environment in managing the country. Trade unions will have a strong position and the new Constitution has a section on the activities of trade unions. We are convinced that after the presidential election representatives of various spheres of life of Ukraine will take the Constitution and write out all the necessary blocks in the way that it is necessary for trade unions,” Yulia Tymoshenko concluded.
