Head of the Batkivshchyna faction Yulia Tymoshenko has called on the government to stop putting pressure on Ukraine’s agrarians and urged the Verkhovna Rada to pas laws that they need to work effectively.
“Our agrarians have started a rebellion against the bills the Verkhovna Rada is adopting and are demanding that laws by the government and president against them be cancelled,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during a press briefing following the coordinating meeting of parliamentary faction and committee heads
The politician urged parliament to support draft law №7403-2 aimed at protecting the rights and legal interests of agricultural producers that export oil crops.
“The Batkivshchyna faction is urging parliament to pass draft law №7403-2 because today agrarians are blocking roads and soon they will come to the Verkhovna Rada,” the parliamentarian said.
Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that Batkivshchyna has always defended the rights of Ukraine’s agrarians and will continue to support them in the future.
