Batkivshchyna faction leader Yulia Tymoshenko has called on the heads of parliamentary factions to start a discussion on the creation of a new parliamentary coalition and a new government in order to stop the unacceptable destructive policy towards the people of Ukraine.
“I believe that regardless of whether we hold regular or special elections, the main discussion should be about the creation of a new coalition in parliament and the creation of a new Ukrainian government – one with a new strategy and tactics for managing the country. There is no other option,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during today’s meeting of the conciliation council of faction leaders and chairmen of parliamentary committees.
According to the politician, any other option in the absence of the decision to change the government and its policies will lead to the “total loss of time and continuation of chaos, turmoil and poverty.”
The parliamentarian also emphasized that the Batkivshchyna team will vote “for any resolution on the inaugurate of the President if there is consolidation of the parliament and approval of the new President,” but noted that the specific date for the inauguration of the new President of Ukraine is not fundamental.
“Holding the mace in one’s hand will not change the country and people’s lives. Let’s move on. Therefore, I call on all faction leaders and the new President’s team to immediately move on to calm constructive discussions on the creation of a new coalition and a new government,” Yulia Tymoshenko said.
