Batkivshchyna Party Leader Yulia Tymoshenko says that implementation of the New Course for Ukraine immediately after her victory in the presidential election will raise the economy and incomes.
“We need just 5 years of correct steps – a new tax system, monetary policy and socio-economic policy – to put the country on its feet,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during a meeting with the community in Lubny, Poltava region.
According to the Head of the Batkivshchyna Party, the New Course will “show the world that Ukraine can be a strong and prosperous country.”
“We are talking about insurance medicine, a personalized pension system, accessible mortgage loans, and an increase in incomes to at least the level in Poland – and that is at least 3.5 times. Our task is to have functioning industry and a developed agrarian sector,” said the predidential candidate.
Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that it is unacceptable that 80% of young people want to leave Ukraine in search of a better life abroad. She believes the reason is that people have lost faith that something can change for the better. The task of the new President is therefore to restore that faith.
“Either we make Ukraine competitive in the world or we will have no people left. We are at the limit, and this election is a question of whether Ukraine will be or not. We will remedy the situation and become a wealthy country by betting on the middle class, science and education, and changing relations between prople,” she said.
